Trump's Granddaughter Receives Expert Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Before LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete boasts substantial social media audience
The young golfer can count on plenty of well-known supporters as she begins her professional golf debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, was granted a special exemption to play at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses several courses worldwide and frequently matches against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have competitive games," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, told her: "Simply stay calm."
"My grandpa basically told me to go out there and have fun," she added.
"To me, he's simply a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's focused on world affairs, so he's quite busy."
While still amateur, Kai has competed in just three tournaments recently and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
But she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He stands as the best player worldwide," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive person. He suggested me to compete, enjoy myself, following whatever happens."
She'll challenge several the biggest names in women's golf at the Annika, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that involving Kai brings the sport to wider groups, especially reaching youth audiences.
Kai maintains substantial online presence and has started her own fashion and living brand.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
