Schüller, who has six months remaining on her deal, has been a prolific goalscorer for her club and the national team. Having scored more than 100 goals for the German giants and found the net 54 times in 82 appearances for Germany. Her arrival will be seen as a major coup for the WSL team.
Her exit from Bayern has been anticipated after she was seen fighting back tears while applauding the German club’s fans following a victory over Bayer Leverkusen this month.
It was reported in December that the German women's top flight was set to lose one of its leading forwards. According to multiple sources, the formalities for the move have now been completed.

Off the pitch, the winter break has seen further business:
- The acquisition of Swedish right-back Hanna Lundkvist on a multi-year deal.
- The contract extension for Japan midfielder Hinata Miyazawa, who has become fan favourite since arriving in 2023.
Regarding the midfielder's extension, a club official stated: “Miyazawa is now a vital component to the way we play. Her footballing intelligence and technical ability allows her and the team to dominate play from the middle of the park.”
Lundkvist, who has arrived from a side from the American league, said: “You can feel how much they [United] have grown in the last few years, competing in one of the strongest leagues in the world and performing in the top European competition.”
