Football Analyst Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

The Gunners' ten-match winning run came to an end by the Black Cats before the international hiatus, however will the English top division frontrunners recover against local foes Spurs this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, against artificial intelligence, fans and a variety of guests.

For the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

The singer's latest album, Knees Up, is available on Friday.

Football and Parenting Life

Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of multiple Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not intending a professional return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other night for a friend of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and their son, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I will not force football on our children but I've already told my wife that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their weekend football team," he said.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I clearly owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He coached our team for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their attack is already more potent with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this fixture will be quite close, though. Burnley are well organised and their sole home defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two games - although both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at home, they appear strong again.

The Hammers' only away victory this season came at Forest in August, when their manager Nuno was still Forest manager.

So, what on earth do I go with here - can the Hammers continuing their streak under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I am going to go with Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the season began, but they have impressed a several people under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their past four games.

A family member told me to select Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer squad a few weeks back and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely score again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had much success on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are always decent at home. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel the home manager's team carry much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

The singer's view: This could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it actually proves to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six matches.

They have got lots of talent in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

Regarding Sunderland, well they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

The away side's performance in the 2-2 tie with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not witnessed any other team disrupt the North London side like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice to do to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the end of October.

However I am not do that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good results because they evidently love to prove me wrong.

Looking at Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the only team they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad streak... but Fulham have still been respectable at Craven Cottage this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their last ten games in all competitions, but might they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
