Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the company said: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the conclusion was made after an review of reports of questionable actions towards young women.

The publisher declined to specify the reasons for its decision, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in 55 languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

A number of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.

He has published over four dozen titles combined, including a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.

Television and Literature

His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
